It is said this is the most beautiful bookstore in Kunming, called Yanjiyou. It is a chain brand already opened over 40 stores in Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Chengdu and etc. Yanjiyou is bookstore, but it not only a bookstore. It is full of imagination and creativity.
Kunming Yanjiyou bookstore located in Park 1903, it is a three-story building on the shores of Yunhu Lake. It designed by a Japanese architect Shuhei Aoyama, he use natural as theme, combine art, culture and life to create a comfortable aesthetic reading space. The oversized glass frame structure is also one of the key design.
The high transparency of the glass greatly reduces the distance from nature, supplemented by the raw wood and stone materials with natural texture, which outlines a beautiful landscape painting. Except large outdoor seating area, there is a coffee area, an art gallery and a central green area. The lighting in the room will be adjusted according to the time period, in order to give customer a great experience of reading atmosphere.
Yanjiyou bookstore now collect over 45,000 books, you can find almost every book you like in here. If you have kids, you can go to children reading area on the second floor, choose one parent-child reading book and read with kids.
In the bookstore not only have books but also have some creatives decorations, stationery, fragrances and toys for sale. It is different from the art exhibition, if you find any favorite work in Yanjiyou you can buy and bring it home.
