Experience Miao ethnic Huashan Festival at Yunnan Nationalities Village

Miao ethnic group’s Huashan Festival will be held in Yunnan Nationalities Village from June 23 to June 25.

Huashan Festival, also called Caihuashan is on the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List. It’s a combination Miao activities such as Lusheng dancing, martial arts, bull fighting, horse racing and pole climbing, etc.

Wine culture is deeply rooted in the life of Miao people. They would sing the Toast Song and to offer a glass of wine to welcome guests to entre their village. Besides, they are also very good at singing and dancing and Lushang Dancing is a typical Miao dancing, which has been listed onto the national intangible cultural heritage.

Bonfire Night:

Time: 19:10-21:30 (Visitors please entre/exit the village through the East Gate)

Night Ticket: 35 yuan/person

Villages open at night: A’chang Village, De’ang Village, Jingpo Village.
