Fulintang is the abbreviation for “Fuzexinglin”, now a traditional Chinese medicine shop, situated on the very centre of Guanghua Road, Kunming. This traditional three-storey civil structure building covers an area of 700 sqm, of which 200 sqm for the main building. With its turret shape and green tile roof, it is rather eye catching among a bunch of modern buildings on this street.
Fulintang Traditional Chinese Medicine was first established during the seventh year of Xianfeng, Qing Dynasty (1857) by Li Yuqing, who was born in Dabanqiao, Kunming. Thanks to its excellent management and high quality of the medicine and great service, it has had developed into a well-established brand in Yunnan. Also, it has had witnessed the development of Chinese medicine in Southwest China and in 2013, it was listed as one of the key National Cultural Relic Protection Units in Yunnan.
