Kunming-Paris
Opened in December 2014, the Kunming-Paris air route is the first continental air route of Yunnan Province. With one-way of the flight distance being 9,471 km, the Kunming-Paris flight takes about 13 hours. The opening of this air route has greatly saved time and money for many Yunnan-bound European travellers. There are three flights for this air route each week, namely on Monday, Thursday and Saturday.  

 

Kunming-Vancouver
Opened in June 2015, flights on this air route connect Kunming via Shanghai to Vancouver. There are three flights for this air route each week, namely on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday. The opening of the air route has greatly saved time and money for many Yunnan-bound North American travellers.

 

In order to meet the ever growing demand of international exchanges, many air routes have been arranged with large frequency of flights. For example, the Changshui International Airport has planned to launch new air route to Oskar of Japan via Nanning of Guangxi as of 13 September. 

 

It is expected that more international air routes will be opened and what’s being planned is to open the air route connecting Kunming and Australia.
