The incoming lunar 7 July is the Chinese Valentine's Day and flowers are the main gifts presented as a token of love. Many visitors to Kunming might be wandering where the flowers come from. Of course, a large proportion of these gifts come from the Dounan flower market!

Each day a variety of flowers are traded in the market 

In early March 2015, the former Dounan flower market was shifted into the Flower World (Hua Hua Shi Jie), a brand new flower trade market which is larger and well equipped with either flower by-products or convenient transport system. In the market is a variety of flowers and the roses are in different colours including red, pink, white, yellow and blue.

The Flower World consists of a main hall and 20 separate architectures, the basic colour of which is silvery. The transaction system remains unchanged which is 24 hours in business, daytime for retail and night for auction.

 

To go to see the flower transaction, an early morning schedule is better.

(1).From the airport: Air Bus No.4, stop at Kunming South Bus Station, transfer Metro Line No.1, stop at Dounan, then transfer Bus C6, stop at Lianweipeng Village.
(2).From Kunming North Bus Station: Metro Line No.1 or No.2, stop at Dounan, then transfer Bus C6, stop at Lianweipeng Village.
(3).From Kunming West Bus Station: Bus No. 80, stop at Shuanglong Plaza, transfer Metro Line No.1 or No.2 at Huanchengnan Road (South Ring Road), stop at Dounan, then transfer Bus C6, stop at Lianweipeng Village.
