Caoxi Buddhist Temple

Enjoying a history of more than 800 years, Caoxi Temple is located in Wenquan Town (Hotspring) of Anning City, 30 kilometers west Kunming. 

As a Buddhist architecture complex built in the Dali Kingdom Period (938-1253) in the Song Dynasty (960-1279), the Temple is among the few in China the Majestic Hall of which is designed in the wooden structure. Bhodisattva Avalokitesvara, Bhodisattva Samantabhadra  and Bhodisattva Manjushri enshrined in the Hall are at the same time very rare Buddhist figures in the Song Dynasty style.

 

Add: 1 km west Anning Hotspring, 30 km from downtown of Kunming.

2-Bus ride at Xiaoximen to get to the terminal: Anning.
