Expatriates and visitors tend to choose Wenhuaxiang Alley, known by the locals as the "Foreigners Street of Kunming" as the place to meet and relax. This small alley is lined with restaurants, bars, exotic shops and boutiques selling stylish clothing, accessories and gadgets. Some expats call it "the left bank of Kunming", and nearby is the Wenlin Street which is the "Bars Street of Kunming". 

 

The best time to visit is after 6 pm so that you can shop around or find a favourite restaurant or bar.
